Hook/Slice Talking Swing Meter

Hook/Slice Talking Swing MeterSOURCE: Amazon.com/Perfect SolutionsGIST: This “precision-engineered” device attaches to your club (no tools needed!) and senses your swing direction, immediately blurting “Hook!” or “Slice!” or, that Holy Grail of golf swing compliments, “Nice Shot!”

MY TAKE: If you haven’t figured it out yet, this is for those “nothing but air” practice swings… you know, the ones we all usually do perfectly (no feedback necessary… it’s perfect dude!) right before we put a real ball in the club’s path, at which point all hell breaks loose (and which I can see for myself how I mucked it up, thank you very much). So who’s this gadget really for? Big surprise: Kids looking for Father’s Day gifts, that’s who!

Even bigger surprise: Someone actually posted a review on Amazon. Said he couldn’t get it to say “Nice Shot!” With his practice shots. Now there’s a guy with real problems! [GO]

This is a clever little gadget that actually works! It’s self resetting so you can make repeat practice swings without hitting a ball. It’s a good device for warmup! At this price, try it, you’ll like it!

Interesting device, would be nice if you could add a video of the thing working on the site. I had a guy come over to my blog recently asking about swing tempo and i gave him a tip which helps slow down the swing.

Just think of a golfer with two syllables in the first and last name, somethink like BY-RON NEL-SON

On the backswing say n your head BY-RON and on the Downswing say NEL-SON

It’s a great way of geting good tempo.

    All the best

    Rich
