Fairway Bunker Club Selection

Golfdirt QuicktipSelecting what clubs to play from a fairway bunker is a pain in the you-know-what.

Here are some rules of thumb I often fall back on that you could try:

  • If the front lip of the fairway bunker is in play, choose a club with plenty of loft.
  • If the front lip is of no consequence, take one more club than normal.
